Perry Townsend(Left) - Drums
Kory Luckett(not shown) - Keyboards and back up vocalist
To begin the story of Risko Danza, first we must go back to a hot summer day in july at a fourth of july party. Matthew Nooe was looking for a drummer, and his father found a contender while attending an event in fondren. Perry Townsend, the drummer, came into the party not knowing that he would be staying with this band. Fast forward a few months and that is when Jacob Lewandowski joined the band. He began to learn bass at an incredibly fast rate, and caught on to the sound and feel of Risko Danza immediately. The combination of Jacob's funk driven bass lines with hints of blues, Matthew's intricate yet simple guitar melodies, and Perry's explosive yet toned down drumming makes for an incredible and unique sounds all it's own.
After playing around Jackson for a few months, Risko Danza began to wonder, "Is three people really enough??" Soon after Kory Luckett joined the group to play Jazz driven solos with a hint of rock. Once Risko Danza had this fourth sound of keyboards and vocals they began to write new songs and play new places.
After some changes, Risko Danza recruited current bassist Nick Lalo. Nick came into the band with a good attitude, and began to learn the material in a short period of time. In the first week of Nick being the new bassist, Risko Danza played their biggest gig yet with The Dirty Guv'nah's.
In the recent months following the entrance of Nick, Risko Danza began to create a completely new sound. Risko Danza is planning on recording their first full EP with some new material, with a few older songs. The EP is expected to release in January of 2013.
